The RC model G 109 is an exact replica (scale 1: 6) of the two-seat GRP motor glider G 109 from Grob-Werke in Mindelheim / Bay. After a sensationally short construction period of 21 weeks, the prototype of the new motor glider generation could be presented ready to fly on March 14, 1980. The excellent flight performance of the original machine could be transferred to the RC model, as could the good take-off and landing characteristics. The model is particularly suitable for the installation of 4-stroke engines up to approx. 7.5 ccm displacement; but also electric motors with or without gears can be installed in the lightweight GRP fuselage. All internals are easily accessible with the canopy removed. The model also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of "maintenance work". The model kit contains: Clear construction plan with building instructions and parts list, GRP finished hull, ABS molded parts, canopy, finished Abachi planked styrofoam surfaces, steel swing gear, wheels, all small parts for RC installation such as rudder horns, fork heads, hinges, decals.
