The history of the battleship “SCHARNHORST” began with the launch on October 3rd, 1936 at the Kriegsmarine shipyard in Wilhelmshaven and the commissioning on January 7th, 1939. On December 26th, 1943 the ship sank north of the North Cape after heavy fighting with British forces. The model, designed according to shipyard documents, was built on a scale of 1: 200 and is largely true to life. Since the finished plastic fuselage is included in the kit, the construction time is tremendously shortened. It is driven either directly with three electric motors or via a gearbox. You will find installation instructions and a gearbox drawing in the additional plan. The fuselage dimensions allow the installation of single or multi-channel remote controls.
The model kit contains: detailed building instructions with construction plan in German, English, French, Spanish and Italian, plastic hull, additional plan for removing the plastic hull, boat deck, rudder, wooden and cardboard parts, screw set with shafts and stern tubes.
The fitting set is included and consists of: portholes (gatchen), rope hooks, double cross bollards, hall anchors, anchor chains, headlights, monitoring frames, flag holders, flagpoles, brass ladders, anchor haws, anchor capitals, dinghies, cutters, Motor dinghies, traffic boats, single flak, double flak, flak in double mounts, triple towers, electric knives, aircraft Arado 196, masts, cranes, railing, etc.
