The "COBRA" model # and # 2737 is based on the Robbe "COBRA" model from the 1970s and has been carefully modernized without disturbing the overall character of the original model. As was the case then, the latest version is also a classic wooden kit, with ribbed wings. The design is such that the construction of the model will not pose any major problems even for less experienced model builders.
Only version # 2737 with ailerons and flaps is more elaborate and complex due to the additional rudder flaps and the installation of the servos.
# 2736 2-axis version controlled only by elevator and rudder:
This version is ideal for beginners who would like to build a model aircraft themselves. The flight characteristics are exceptionally good-natured. Its strength lies in relaxing, extended thermal flights. Even the more experienced pilot will appreciate the model as an excellent after-work model.
The recommended motorization with RO-Power 2828-1350KV # 5818 with a 2S/1300mAh (# 7332) and propeller 10x6" is more than sufficient for adequate climbs and motor run time.
Spinners of size 32-35mm diameter fit well with the fuselage contour. We recommend ROBBE 2 pieces servos FS 151 (# 9122) or FS 166 (#9123)
#2737 3-axis version has a significantly modified wing, which is equipped with ailerons and flaps. Here, the more advanced model builder/model pilot will get a very good-natured yet agile and thermally strong model, which, due to its wider range of applications, is ideally suited for slope soaring or sporty flights on the flat.
With the recommended RO-Power 2837-1100KV (#5819), a 3S battery 1300-1800mAh (e.g. # 7356) and propeller 9x7", the model achieves impressive climbing and flight performance, which more than meets the demands of the sportier variants of the "COBRA" model.
Spinners of size 34-35mm diameter fit well with the fuselage contour.
We recommend ROBBE servos 2 pcs. FS 151 (# 9122) or FS 166 (#9123) for elevator and rudder, and 4 pcs. FS 29 X (# 9126) for ailerons and flaps.
